Bunga’s artistic practice explores the intimate relationship between humans and space, examining how physical and emotional environments shape identity, memory, and a sense of belonging. She approaches architecture not as a fixed structure, but as a living entity: one that can grow, move, and adapt through human presence. At the core of her work is an ongoing dialogue between the body and its surroundings, where “home” emerges not as a permanent location, but as a feeling continually reshaped by movement, encounters, and displacement.

Drawing from her experiences of migration, cultural restriction, and personal transformation, Bunga’s work questions how power, ideology, and architectural structures influence self-perception. Growing up in a conservative environment where self-expression was limited, she came to understand space as both confining and liberating. These tensions inform her practice, which transforms lived experiences into poetic, sensory works that invite reflection, empathy, and heightened self-awareness.

Through an exploration of environment and culture, Bunga investigates how sound, music, and existing architectural forms shape both her identity and her artistic language. Her work becomes a space where memory, body, and environment converge, opening possibilities for new ways of inhabiting and understanding space.
